A Staged Retrofit for an Existing Resin Lens Line
Progress from reviewing the existing process to validating a machine, connecting operations and defining line boundaries, with clear interfaces and acceptance conditions.

Existing production equipment does not necessarily need to be replaced as a whole. HULK ROBOT assesses standalone machines, process cells and integrated lines according to site conditions.
Step 1: Document the current process
Record process flow, product and mold specifications, tray formats, interfaces, layout and target cycle time. Define problems such as repetitive handling or waiting between operations. A request for full-line automation needs a clear boundary.
Step 2: Validate one process
Confirm samples, handling and acceptance criteria for the selected operation. Check not only whether motions complete, but whether the machine fits the existing workflow. This article's photograph shows the facility; equipment photographs are on the product page.
Step 3: Connect adjacent operations
Assess tray transfer, buffers, interfaces and recovery after exceptions. Match upstream and downstream cycle times. The fastest machine's rating is not the throughput of a complete process cell.
Step 4: Define the delivery boundary
State which machines are included, which existing machines remain, and the test conditions, acceptance methods and service scope. Configuration and implementation require site assessment; do not copy another line's arrangement without review.
